Renmore Judo Club Diary

Similar to other clubs the Renmore Judo is constantly looking for funds to cover everyday running costs such as hall rental etc. With this problem in mind the parents of the club took the initiative to come up with ideas to raise money. On Sat Oct 13th the club held a very successful bag packing fundraiser in Dunnes Stores at Briarhill.

On Saturday November 10th one of the families in the club is hosting a Coffee morning/bake sale in their home, and on Sunday December 9th the whole club may be heard singing carols on Galway’s shop street.

As regards our main occupation many of our children will be competing in the upcoming Connacht Championships on Sunday November 25th. Some of our older children hope to participate in the High Performance camp to be held in Galway on December 2nd under the direction of Alonso Henderson 4th Dan.

We are also planning our 3rd Annual Mini Mons Competition, which will be held Sunday January 27th. Last year’s event attracted 120 children from all around the country and this year we hope to have even more enjoying a great day for beginners in this sport.

Also during next year many of our children hope to take part in the All Ireland Championships in February, Galway Open Championship as well as various sports camps throughout the year.
