Cavan Region Junior Judo Grading

36 junior judoka from the Cavan area took part in the latest Regional Judo Ireland Grading, with an excellent balance of 22 boys & 14 girls taking part.

Senior coach, Adrian Boyle has worked extremely hard with his students bringing 2 players Daryl Dunne & Simone Smith up to 10th Mon, the new Blue/Brown Grade, the first players in Ireland to grade to this level.

A special word of congratulations must go to Niamh Hanley, Paula McGinnell & Regina Brady, who were the most outstanding participants on the day giving flawless demonstrations of their techniques to attain their 4th Mon, Yellow/Orange Belt.

A special word of praise must go to Adrian & his assistant coaches Joseph Moore & Jason Smith who have worked so hard over the past few years developing judo in the clubs & schools in the mid-Ulster area & in the reviving of their great tournament ‘The Cavan Open’ which we all enjoyed last week-end.
