St. Patrick’s Day Syllabus Course

Twenty judoka from the Greater Dublin area took part in the St. Patrick’s Day Senior Judo Ireland Syllabus Course.

With such a full judo calendar for the next few months and a National Grading in NUI Maynooth on Sunday, 20th March, all participants felt that this was their perfect opportunity to brush up on the Gokyo based Senior Syllabus & the Gonosen-no-kata.

Although restricted to a 2 hour session, we managed to cover all tachiwaza & newaza techniques up to & including Senior Green Belt. We also covered the Gonosen techniques, including the opening & closing movements.

Members of the Judo Ireland Technical Committee are now available to travel to clubs & schools throughout Ireland to assist in the coaching the new syllabus. Should you wish to have one of our coaches visit your club, you should contact info@judoireland.com.
